We love when nourishing food is also very easy to make. Here is the perfect example. A “power-cream” recipe featuring a wonderful combination of nutrients-packed ingredients. Figs, walnuts, and tofu perfectly blend together to create a lightly sweet flavour able to please every palate and the cinnamon touch takes it to perfection. TVO loves it on rye bread with mixed fruits and seeds, but it’s wonderful also to enrich a light loaf cake for dessert or just to have it as a pudding. No matter how, when or where…it will be delicious!

 INGREDIENTS

½ block of organic silken tofu

½ cup of organic dried figs

½ cup of walnuts halves

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

TOPPING

Fresh mixed berries and kiwi

Mixed seeds 

Agave syrup to taste

Raw, Vegan, Gluten-free, Refined sugar-free

STEP 1) Chop the tofu into pieces and put them into a food processor.

STEP 2) Chop the figs and put them into the food processor together with the walnuts and the cinnamon.

STEP 3) Process intermittently for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Add ¼ cup of still water to give some extra moisture.

STEP 4) For our favourite version, spread it on rye bread and garnish with mixed fruits and seeds. Add a drop of Agave syrup if you need some extra sweetness.

STEP 5) EnjoyEat!

NOTE

Eat it immediately to enjoy the best flavour. Although if you are good enough not to finish it in one go, store it in the fridge in an airtight glass container for a maximum of 2-3 days (we promise, it won’t last any longer!).
